For developers

Homivo has a public search API and an MCP server. Neither needs an account or an API key.

When to use it

Both return why each home matched and what the photographs show. Use them to find homes for sale in Scotland from a sentence about the home. It does not cover homes to rent or homes outside Scotland, and it does not value homes.

Start with the guide

The guide lists the places that have homes now and the only phrases that change a result. Read it before you search.

  • Each hit has reasons and survey.
  • ignored lists the words that were not used. Drop them, or use a phrase from the guide.
  • A chip with kind name means those words were searched as a house name.

MCP server

It has three tools: search_guide, search_homes, and get_home. To add it to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, follow Use in chat.

Limits and errors

  • About 30 searches a minute per IP address, shared between the API and the MCP server.
  • Over the limit, the API answers 429 with a Retry-After header.
  • An unknown API address answers 404 with a JSON body.
