Who is responsible
Homivo is responsible for your data under UK data protection law. Contact ted@homivo.co.uk.
What Homivo keeps
- Saved search alerts. Your email address and the search. Alerts start only after you click the link in the confirmation email. Homivo uses this because you asked for it. It is kept until you remove it. Each alert email has a link to stop it, or you can email the address above.
- Searches. The words you search for, how they were understood, and the number of results. This is kept without your email or IP address, and is used to improve the search. Do not put personal details in a search.
- Planning questions. What you ask about a home's planning potential, and the answer. Your browser keeps the reference to it.
- IP addresses. Held for a few minutes to limit how many searches can be made, which keeps the service running. Web hosting also keeps ordinary request logs.
- Analytics. PostHog records pages visited and how the site is used, on its EU servers, using a cookie and browser storage. Session recording is off. Homivo uses this to understand what works.
- On your own device. Your saved searches, sort order, and drive start point stay in your browser until you clear them.
- Listings. Homes come from estate agents' public adverts. Agents can ask for their listings to be removed.
Who else handles it
- Vercel hosts the site, and Supabase holds the database.
- Resend sends email. If it cannot, the email is sent from a Gmail account through Unipile.
- OpenRouter passes search text to an AI model so the sentence can be understood.
- PostHog runs the analytics.
- CARTO serves the map images. Your browser asks it for them directly.
- OpenRouteService, OSRM, Nominatim, and postcodes.io work out places and drive times from what you enter.
Some of these companies work outside the UK. Homivo does not sell your data. An enquiry about a home is made on the estate agent's own site, under that agent's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or object to how it is used. Email ted@homivo.co.uk. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
