Rothesay has an 18 hole golf course and there are two smaller courses at Kingarth on the west side and Port Bannatyne to the north. The West Island Way is a well-maintained and sign-posted route from one end of the island to the other, allowing walkers to immerse themselves in the picturesque and varied landscape of the island. There is a large community forest at the north end of the island taking in coniferous and deciduous woodland with stunning views and fascinating history.
